The All-India Democratic Students Organisation statement denouncing the UGC notice, dated 27.03.2024, mandating NET qualification for PhD entrance from the academic year 2024-25 onwards: *** We are dismayed by the UGC circular that essentially mandates the universities and higher education institutions to adopt NET score as the sole criteria for PhD interview. The government, hell bent on imposing the deplorable NEP 2020, and on submitting the interests of education and research at the feet of national and international education mafia, has chosen to ignore the persistent voice of the stakeholders and members of the public before taking this disastrous decision. Despite all shortcomings, the public funded institutions including universities have functioned with an aim to provide an opportunity for the marginalised section to get education. While the founding principles may have been watered down over the years, it cannot be denied that many scholars belonging to different underprivileg

(C) No. 2192 OF 2018 માં તા. 25 સપ્ટેમ્બર 2018 અને 13 ફેબ્રુવારી 2022 ના રોજ ચુકાદો આપ્યો કે મતદારો પાસે ઉમેદવારો વિશે જરૂરી માહિતી હોવી જોઈએ (જેવા કે તેમનં કેટલું શિક્ષણ છે, તેમના પર કેટલા અને કયા કેસ દાખલ કરેલા છે, તેઓ કેટલી સંપત્તિ ધરાવે છે, વગેરે) અને તેથી દરેક ઉમેદવારે તમના પરના ગુનાની વિગતો સમાચાર પત્રો અને સોશ્યલ મીડિયા, અને વેબસાઇટ પર મૂકવી જોઈએ.

Three issues have been published of their printed journal. The magazine and blog are spearheading or playing vanguard role in constructing the nucleus of a genuine anti-imperialist, anti-feudal, anti-fascist movement, or organization. It has sowed the seeds for red roses to resurrect, in hour of Hindutva proto- fascism at a helm.

- राम पुनियानी  फिल्म जनसंचार का एक शक्तिशाली माध्यम है जो सामाजिक समझ को कई तरह से प्रभावित करता है. कई दशकों पहले भारत में ऐसी फिल्में बनी जो सामाजिक यथार्थ को प्रतिबिंबित करती थीं और प्रगतिशील मूल्यों को बढ़ावा देती थीं. 'मदर इंडिया', 'दो बीघा ज़मीन' और 'नया दौर' ऐसी ही कुछ फिल्में थीं. कुछ बायोपिक फिल्मों ने भी यथार्थपरक आम समझ को विस्तार और समावेशी मूल्यों को प्रोत्साहन दिया. रिचर्ड एटनबरो की 'गाँधी' और भगत सिंह के जीवन पर बनी कुछ फिल्में अत्यंत प्रेरणास्पद थीं. ये बायोपिक मेहनत और सावधानी से किए गए शोध पर आधारित थीं और अपने-अपने नायकों के वास्तविक चरित्र को परदे पर उकेरती थीं.

- झारखंड जनाधिकार महासभा   दिनांक 18 मार्च को लोकतंत्र बचाओ 2024 (अबुआ झारखंड, अबुआ राज) अभियान ने सत्य भारती, रांची में प्रेस वार्ता कर आने वाले लोक सभा चुनाव, लोकतंत्र की स्थिति और राज्य की सामाजिक-राजनैतिक ज़मीनी वास्तविकता पर अपनी बात रखी. अभियान के विभिन्न लोक सभा से आये सदस्यों ने प्रेस को संबोधित किया.

- कृपाल मंडलोई प्रधानमंत्री जी, आपके द्वारा 140 करोड़ नागरिकों को थोक में भेजा गया स्पैम (जबरिया संदेश) मिला,आदर्श चुनाव आचार संहिता 16 मार्च को लाघु हो चुकी उसके बाद भी ये प्रचार सामग्री की तरह लिखी चिट्ठी हमें 18 मार्च को तड़के मिली वो भी सरकारी लेटरहेड पर. खैर, आपको इस आदर्श आचार की परवाह होती तो शायद भेजते भी नही.प्लेटफार्म का इस तरह का दुरूपयोग आज से पहले कभी नहीं देखा गया इसका पूरा क्रेडिट आपको जाता है. आपकी चिट्ठी में, आप उन सभी बातों को भूल गए, जिन्हे आप पहले मास्टर स्ट्रोक कहते थे, जैसे कि आपके द्वारा लाया गया चुनावी बांड , जिसे अब उच्चतम न्यायलय ने संवैधानिक करार दिया है और जिनसे दर रोज नए खुलासे हो रहे हैं .आप उन 3 कृषि कानूनों को भूल गए जिन्हें देश के किसानों के खारिज करते हुए कृषि विरोधी काले कनोकन्नकरर दिया था .आप ये क्रेडिट लेना भूल गए की कैसे अन्नदाता एक साल से ज्यादा समय तक धूप, बारिश ,ठंड के बड़ी सड़को पर आंदोलन करता रहा लेकिन आप एक साल तक आंख फेरकर उनकी अनदेखी करते रहे . आप भूल गए की इसी आंदोलन के दौरान लखीमपुर खीरी में जीप से कुचले गए किसानों का न्याय होना बाकी है.

By Harsh Thakor* On Monday 11 th of March , the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of the repressive Indian State presented fabricated charges against Sanjoy Deepak Rao in the jurisdiction of a special court for the NIA in Hyderabad. Sanjoy Deepak Rao, a progressive intellectual from Jammu and Kashmir, was already arrested several times for his bold voice. Last September he was arrested again, in Telangana, this time charged of being a leader of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), a party which leads the People’s War against the old Indian State.

- સલીમ પટેલ*  પાનોલી જીઆઇડીસીમાં ઓદ્યોગિક ઘન/પ્રવાહી કચરાનું રીસાયલીંગ કરતી RSPL નામની કમ્પની આવેલ છે. જે અન્ય ઓદ્યોગિક એકમોના રાસાયણિક કચરાને રીસાયલીંગ કરવાનું કામ કરે છે જેમાં અનેક અને દુર –દુર ના એકમોનો રાસાયણિક કચરાને અહિયાં પ્રોસેસ માટે લાવવામાં આવે છે. આ દરમ્યાન 23.03.24 નાં રોજ મોડી સાંજે કોઈ કારણોસર રાસાયણિક કચરામાં આગ લાગતા હોળી પેહલા જ વેસ્ટ કેમિકલ હોળી દહન ના દ્ર્શ્યો સર્જાયા હતા અને તેમાં સોલ્વન્ટ સહીત ના ઝેરી તત્વો શામેલ હોવાના લીધે વાતાવરણ પ્રદુષિત બનતા આસપાસના લોકોમાં ભય ફેલાયો હતો. આ અગાઉ પણ ગત વર્ષે પણ પાનોલી જી આઈ ડી સી માં આગ અકસ્માત નો બનાવ બનતા કેટલાક ગામો ને ખાલી કરવાની ફરજ પડી હતી જે ઘટના ને યાદ કરી પ્રજા માં ભય નું વાતાવરણ સર્જાયું હતું.

- राम पुनियानी  जिस समय इलेक्टोरल बॉण्ड से जुड़ा बड़ा घोटाला परत-दर-परत देश के सामने उजागर हो रहा था, ठीक उसी समय केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री श्री अमित शाह ने नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम (सीएए) लागू करने के लिए नियमों और प्रक्रिया की घोषणा कर दी. यह अधिनियम करीब 4 साल पहले संसद द्वारा पारित किया गया था. इसे लागू करने की घोषणा उस समय की गई जब इलेक्टोरल बॉण्ड घोटाला सामने आ रहा था और आम चुनाव नज़दीक थे. भाजपा की राजनीति के रंग-ढंग देखते हुए घोषणा के किए यह समय चुने जाने का उद्देश्य स्पष्ट है.

- પંક્તિ જોગ  ચુંટણી બૉન્ડ ના કુલ 30 તબક્કામાં SBI  જુદાજુદા 19 રાજ્યો માં અધિકૃત કરેલા SBI મુખ્ય શાખાઓ માંથી જે બોન્ડ વેંચવામાં આવ્યા તેના કમિશન પેટે SBI કેન્દ્ર સરકાર (નાણાં મંત્રાલય) પાસે રૂ 12,4,59,043/-  માંગ્યા.

In the West Bank at least 421 people have been killed, and more than 4,600 have been injured. 360,000 residential units, more than half of the homes in Gaza, have been razed to the floor. 132 water wells are damaged or destroyed and only 11 out of 35 hospitals are only partially functioning.

By Prantik Deka  In a heartwarming news, 'Dhulia Culture of Old Kamrup (Assam)', a 26-minute long documentary, based on the traditional folk-art form of Assam, researched, produced and directed by Dr Aparna Buzarbarua under the banner of Rohini Production, has won the Best Documentary Award at the International Short Film Festival Award, which took place at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium in Kolkata, recently. The award comprises a trophy, a memento, a medal and a certificate.

- ગૌરાંગ જાની   ગુજરાત અને અમદાવાદના જાહેરજીવનમાં મહાત્મા ગાંધીના આગમન પૂર્વે સમાજ સુધારા અને સમાજ ચિંતન ક્ષેત્રમાં શિરમોર વ્યક્તિત્વ એટલે રમણભાઈ. ધર્મની જડતાઓને પડકારનાર અને એ દિશામાં સાહિત્ય સર્જનની ઉજ્વળ પરંપરાના અગ્રણી એવા રમણભાઈ નીલકંઠ વિશે આજે વાત કરીશું.વીસમી સદીની પ્રથમ પચીસીમાં અમદાવાદને વૈચારિક રીતે બદલનાર બે વ્યક્તિત્વ. એક ઇન્દુલાલ યાજ્ઞિક અને બીજા રમણભાઈ .ગુજરાતમાંથી સૌ પ્રથમ વિદેશગમન કરનાર અને એ માટે નાગરી નાતનો દંડ અને વિરોધ સહન કરનાર મહીપતરામ રૂપરામના પુત્ર રમણભાઈની માતાનું નામ રૂપકુંવર હતું. આજથી ૧૫૪ વર્ષ પૂર્વે વર્ષ ૧૮૬૮ ના માર્ચની ૧૩ તારીખે અમદાવાદમાં વડનગરા નાગર પરિવારમાં રમણભાઈનો જન્મ થયો હતો. રસપ્રદ એ છે કે રમણભાઈની મૂળ અટક મહેતા હતી પણ તેમના એક પૂર્વજ નામે નીલકંઠ મહેતા દિવાન હતા એથી રમણભાઈની અટક મહેતા નહિ પણ નીલકંઠ પડી.

Some people are reported to have faced torture by the police while being interrogated. The detained were denied access to lawyers. The accused were framed with charges of “Providing finance to a terrorist organization”.

- હેમંતકુમાર શાહ  હમણાં કલકત્તાની હાઈ કોર્ટના ન્યાયમૂર્તિ અભિજીત ગંગોપાધ્યાય દ્વારા રાજીનામું આપવામાં આવ્યું. તેઓ હવે ભાજપમાં જોડાઈ રહ્યા છે અને કદાચ લોકસભાની ચૂંટણી લડવાના છે. તેમને ભારતના નાગરિક તરીકે આમ કરવાનો સંપૂર્ણ અધિકાર છે એમાં ના નથી. પરંતુ સવાલ લોકશાહીના એક સ્તંભ એવા સ્વતંત્ર ન્યાયતંત્રની વિશ્વસનીયતાનો છે. ન્યાયમૂર્તિઓ સ્વતંત્ર, નિષ્પક્ષ અને કાર્યક્ષમ હોય એ લોકશાહીના જતન અને રક્ષણ માટે અત્યંત આવશ્યક બાબત છે.  અભિજીતજી દ્વારા એમ કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે કે મમતા બેનરજીની તૃણમૂલ કોંગ્રેસ ભ્રષ્ટ છે અને ભાજપ "ભ્રષ્ટાચાર વિરુદ્ધ શૂન્ય સહિષ્ણુતા"નું સૂત્ર આપે છે માટે તેઓ ભાજપમાં જોડાઈ રહ્યા છે. તૃણમૂલ કોંગ્રેસ ભ્રષ્ટ છે એની તો તેમણે અદાલતમાં કેસ ચલાવ્યા હોય તેથી ખબર હોય. પણ સવાલ એ છે કે ભાજપનું સૂત્ર વ્યવહારમાં સાચું છે તેની એમને કેવી રીતે ખબર પડી? લાગે છે કે સક્રિય રાજકારણમાં આવવા માટેનું અને ભાજપમાં જોડાવા માટેનું એ એક બહાનું છે.  એમ લાગ્યા વિના રહેતું નથી કે તેઓ કોઈ એક પક્ષની, આ કિસ્સામાં ભાજપની, તરફદારી કરી રહ્યા છે. તેઓ ભાજપમાં જોડાય છે માટે તે બરાબર નથી એમ નહિ,

- राम पुनियानी हिन्दू राष्ट्रवादी भारतीय जनता पार्टी के पिछले एक दशक से चले आ रहे शासन के दौरान हमारे देश में शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में ऐसे परिवर्तन किए गए हैं जो आस्था पर अधिक आधारित हैं और तर्क पर कम। ये परिवर्तन ऐसे हैं जो अतीत का महिमामंडन करते हैं और वैज्ञानिक सोच का नकार। तथ्य यह है कि भारत में प्राचीन काल से ही तार्किकता को महत्व दिया जाता रहा है। चार्वाक तार्किकता पर आधारित सोच के बड़े पैरोकारों में से एक थे। चरक और आर्यभट्ट ने चिकित्सा विज्ञान और खगोल शास्त्र के क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया।

By Harsh Thakor*  On the 26th of February at least 900 farmers assembled in the European Quarter of Brussels, where many EU institutions are stationed, to protest against the increasing production costs, cheap imports from outside of EU and EU rules on agriculture made under the pretence of achieving “climate-neutrality”. 

જૂનાગઢના મહેશ ગિરિ બાપુ, ગિરનાર છાયા મંડળ, વિશ્વ હિન્દુ પરિષદ જૂનાગઢ અને બીજા અસમાજિક તત્વો વિરુદ્ધ UAPA કાયદા મુજબ FIR નોંધવા બાબતે માયનોરિટી કોર્ડિનેશન કમેટી ના કન્વીનર મુજાહિદ નફીસ દ્વારા પોલિસ અધિક્ષક શ્રી જૂનાગઢ સમક્ષ ઈમેલ દ્વારા FIR નોંધવા માટેની અરજી: ---

- हरसिंग जमरे, नासरी बाई* विकास का खोखला दावा करने वाली आदिवासी विरोधी मध्य प्रदेश सरकार के खिलाफ जागृत आदिवासी दलित संगठन के नेतृत्व में बड़वानी के आदिवासियों ने जिला पंचायत घेरा – अधिकारियों को किसान-मजदूरों और छात्रों के मुद्दों के बारे में पहले से ही सूचित करने के बावजूद, 4 महीनों से रुकी रोजगार का जवाब देने के बजाए, जनता का सवाल से बचने अधिकारी पहुंचे ही नहीं! इसलिए आदिवासियों ने चक्का जाम कर तहसीलदार को मुख्यमंत्री के नाम ज्ञापन सौंपा, और यह घोषणा की आदिवासियों की सरकार है ही नहीं! आंदोलन में जागृत आदिवासी दलित संगठन के बुरहानपुर और खरगोन के कार्यकर्ता भी एकजुटता में शामिल हुए। किसान-मजदूर-छात्रों के आंदोलन में बड़वानी विधायक, श्री राजन मंडलोई और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता पोरलाल खर्ते भी समर्थन में आए।

- હેમંતકુમાર શાહ  હમણાં FB પર એક સમાચાર વાંચ્યા. તે મુજબ એક ટીવી ચેનલના સુરતના એક પત્રકારની નિમણૂક પોલિસ સલાહકાર સમિતિમાં કરવામાં આવી છે. હવે એક સવાલ: શું કોઈ પણ વિષયની કોઈ પણ સરકારી કે અર્ધસરકારી સમિતિમાં કે પંચમાં પત્રકારે સભ્યપદ મેળવવું જોઈએ કે નહિ?  પત્રકારોનું વેતન કે પત્રકારોની કાર્યશરતો સાથે સીધી રીતે સંબંધિત બાબતો અંગેની કોઈક સમિતિમાં કે પંચમાં સરકાર પત્રકારોની નિમણૂક કરે તો તે યોગ્ય જ કહેવાય. 

  - રિમ્મી વાઘેલા  તારીખ 29 ફેબ્રુઆરી, 2024ના રોજ છાપામાં અડધા પાનાની ‘વિકસિત ગુજરાત@ 20147’ અંતર્ગત બજેટ 2024-25ની મોટી જાહેરાત જોઈ. કદાચ બધાની નજર પડી પણ હશે. કરોડોના આંકડાઓની મોટી મોટી જાહેરાતો સાથે જાહેરાતના અંતમાં લખેલું છે કે “આઝાદીના અમૃતકાળમાં ગુજરાતમાં વહી રહી છે અવિરત જ્ઞાનરૂપી ગંગા”. દાવો તો ત્યાં સુધી કરવામાં આવ્યો છે કે વૈદિક યુગથી આધુનિક યુગના શિક્ષણમાં ગુજરાત અગ્રેસર રહ્યું છે

- राम पुनियानी*  भारत पर पिछले 10 सालों से हिन्दू राष्ट्रवादी भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) राज कर रही है. भाजपा आरएसएस परिवार की सदस्य है और आरएसएस का लक्ष्य है हिन्दू राष्ट्र का निर्माण. आरएसएस से जुड़ी सैंकड़ों संस्थाएँ हैं. उसके लाखों, बल्कि शायद, करोड़ों स्वयंसेवक हैं. इसके अलावा कई हजार वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ता हैं जिन्हें प्रचारक कहा जाता है. भाजपा के सत्ता में आने के बाद से आरएसएस दुगनी गति से हिन्दू राष्ट्र के निर्माण के अपने एजेण्डे को पूरा करने में जुट गया है. यदि भाजपा को चुनावों में लगातार सफलता हासिल हो रही है तो उसका कारण है देश में साम्प्रदायिकता और साम्प्रदायिक मुद्दों का बढ़ता बोलबाला. इनमें से कुछ हैं राम मंदिर, गौमांस और गोवध एवं लव जिहाद.
